There must not be many people around who do not like any kind of music. Music is an appeal to the emotions inside you, it rejuvenates your soul. Some say it is language of god. This world had music right from its inception. Evidently most of us felt that music should accompany us wherever we are on this earth. This want resulted into rapid progress of technology in this field right from first walkman by sony to latest version of I-pod in the market. But still I feel there is a missing link and I am pretty sure that very soon this missing link will also come into existence.
The missing link I am talking about is the link between my instantaneous emotion and the song which my I-pod is playing. Is it not possible, considering the advances in the field of bioelectronics, that in future we have a mp3 player with emotion sensing device, which will sense the emotion and play the song accordingly. Imagine the situation when you are high, your mp3 senses it and plays “comfortably numb”. Can there be better customisation of your mp3 player to suit your personal needs. I hope I am heard.

thats a brilliant idea...though the customization will have to be very subjective...u might want to hear comfortably numb when high, but someone else might have a different opinion. Btw, you might know but iPhone(guess should be there in iPod as well) has a 'Genius' playlist option..so basically you select one song and it makes a playlist out of your song collection which are similar to the selected song...pretty cool :)
Yes boy .. you have been heard. I wouldn't argue with the 'Genius' idea but it requires moving on from the world we live in. Start buying CDs to start with. There are opinions regarding apple collecting data for 'Genius' which can put a lot of download junkies in trouble :)
Nice thought...but too futuristic!!! But who know may this is the next big thing.

the idea is novel for sure, but what i feel is that humans are a very complex machine, and at a single point of time there are many things going in our mind which drives our emotions, and electronic device will be able to sense some biological changes i suppose.
let say someone is in love and njoying the beginning stage, and is tensed because of presurre at work, so what song will ur system play,,"O pape, pyaar karke pachtaya... :D"
Gr8 imagination dude .. and its quite feasible to build an AI like that .. all you need .. is to have some sensors to catch you emotions via pulse rate and all .. and there you go .. comfortably numb :) ..
Lastly don't post such idea's on blogger keep it with you .. who knows you may sell it bigtime :P
The idea is quiet good!!
Sometimes when we are listening radio and the song which suits the mood is being played..it feels so soothing!!
may be you can work upon it with somebody!!
